Also attached Gentoo .config Kernel config while i have opened the Ticket. But Thank you for having a look into this Problem. I you need any assistance or ssh access to my Laptop System, feel free the contact me and I'll try to provide it. I have a good backup of my old Gentoo and of my Ubuntu so we can switch between the Os Distris and you can have full access to the System. On both System is a full compiler suite. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1768152 Title: Brightness controll doesn't work - Samsung R560 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hi, I just migrated from Gentoo Linux to KUbuntu 18.04 LTS. Now I noticed that brightness control doesn't work in Ubuntu (FN Keys show KDE Dialog Brightness changed but display stays at full Backlight). Even writing to /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness doesn't change the brightness level. In Gentoo everything was working fine, display backlight responded to KDE and/or to /sys/class/backlight/... . As I now I had a bug Ticket at Kernel org with user Tux12Fun an it was implemented long time ago into the Kernel Main Line. But I can't find the Ticket on Kernel.org now :-( So I try to provide all the information i can collect from the old installation.
