The version that is currently working and has worked in the past is 16.04 LTS. Both 17.10 and 18.04 were non-functional for me. Tried multiple installs, each with the same results. Unfortunately, I can't test anything else on this machine atm as it's my work machine and I need it to be available pretty much constantly.
