With kernel 4.10.0-32-generic and amdgpu-pro the kernel have some
problem with loading alx module for the ethernet interface when starting
the PC. Thus manually load the alx module is needed for network to fully
function again. This often happen with previous version of 16.04.x but
not as often as now.

Manual load the module with:
# modprobe -r alx
# depmod
# modprobe -v alx
