Title: ACPI Exception: Could not find/resolve package element: V2P Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hello All, I have been tirelessly trying to install Ubuntu-18.04 since the last 2 days, but every attempt turned out to be negative. Apart from other GUI based problems, this particular error gave me the exact details, so I thought it should be posted here. I do not have much idea about what it actually means, though. This error occurs every time when I try to shut down the machine from a live disc, and then the system freezes, leaving me with no other option but forced shut down. This even occurs sometimes when booting from the live cd. I have already verified the integrity of the downloaded iso through a checksum verification. It is perfectly OK. Current OS: Ubuntu-16.04.1 (latest kernel, as per apt-get) Machine: MSI GV62 7RD To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1767577/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
