Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.
I found a corresponding bug report in Debian so I have attached a bug watch. Normally a newer version in Debian would be possibly to sync automatically to the development version of Ubuntu. However, it looks like the Ubuntu package for zfs-linux contains some Ubuntu-specific patches so this will probably need a manual merge once the package enters Debian. Oh, and and to get the newer version into Ubuntu bionic, that would likely require a FeatureFreezeException (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess) at this point. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #893578 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=893578 ** Also affects: zfs-linux (Debian) via https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=893578 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Tags added: needs-debian-merge upgrade-software-version -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to zfs-linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1757012 Title: Upgrade ZFS to v0.7.7 Status in zfs-linux package in Ubuntu: New Status in zfs-linux package in Debian: Unknown Bug description: v0.7.7 is out: https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/releases/tag/zfs-0.7.7 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs-linux/+bug/1757012/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
