[Test Case] Successful output: $ sudo perf list | grep thunderx2 thunderx2 imp def: $ [Regression Risk] The code changes are restricted to the perf utility, so there's negligible risk to the kernel itself. All patches are clean cherry-picks except 1 where a hunk is dropped that was updating an API in code that didn't exist yet. I've tested on Cavium Sabre (a thunderx2 system), and smoke tested perf commands for regression on x86 (Dell XPS13 9350).
