Marking as Invalid because the release is EOL is not correct. Marking as
Incomplete. Also, 18.04 is (at the time of writing) still in development, and
you should expect some breakage.

run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms 4.8.0-52-generic
/boot/vmlinuz-4.8.0-52-generic
did not progress, it used no system resources and just hang.
I had this problem before with nearly every kernel update in the past.
I have to reboot, use the recovery mode, uninstall nvidia-drivers and
then the update of the kernel works. After that I can reinstall nvidia
graphics drivers.
