This patch has already been merged into the 3.12 upstream. ________________________________ From: Joseph Salisbury <joseph.salisb...@canonical.com> To: chenttu...@yahoo.com Sent: Wednesday, October 16, 2013 12:41 AM Subject: [Bug 1239572] Re: TCP Tail Loss Probe problem in Ubuntu 13.10 kernel
The patch: "tcp: fix incorrect ca_state in tail loss probe" has not made it into Linus's tree as of yet. When it does, we can perform a cherry- pick into Saucy. If it is cc'd to stable, it will automatically be included in Saucy through the normal stable release update process. Are you able to reproduce this bug easily? If so, was it introduced in the v3.10 kernel and not exist in earlier kernels? If that is the case, we might be able to revert the commit that introduced this, until the fix lands upstream. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Triaged ** Tags added: bot-stop-nagging ** Tags added: kernel-da-key -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1239572 Title: TCP Tail Loss Probe problem in Ubuntu 13.10 kernel Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Bug of type net/tcp in linux kernel >3.10 Please Refer to http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.network/286793/match= AND https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=989251 We are planing to widely deploy Ubuntu 13.10 in our frontend server for advanced TCP enhancement in the latest linux kernel and Tail Loss Probe is considered as one of the most important features, so do please fix this bug.
