yeah i'm not going to bother with it... i installed the latest amd/ati proprietary video drivers.. which handle suspend/resume fine. The issue I now have with those is brightness no longer works .. "xrandr --output LVDS --brightness 0.3" works but messes with colors. there seems to be more complaints about brightness issues so that issue may be fixed first. I will live with no brightness controls for now I guess.
