At first glance this looks as though it may be related to a previous bug which was mentioned in 4.4.0-70 (LP #1687512). Another issue is currently open with high priority (LP #1702164) which seems to suggest that the kernel panics seen prior to the 4.4.0-79 may have resurfaced in the latest revision (4.4.0-83).
