Core2Duo, Celeron and Atom seems all fine, only the AMD machines with the mentioned SOC boards have this issue. We never had this issue beginning from Kernel 3.16 via 4.2 up to 4.4.0-72 - so we will use that one. I installed the latest 4.2, 4.4.0-21, 4.4.0-66, 4.4.0-71 and 4.4.0-72 and the issue is absent. The issue occurs with the default mouse cursor and with comixcursors- righthanded-opaque (which we use). The distortion is like the width stays the same, but the height gets halved.
