Title:
package linux-image-4.4.0-78-generic (not installed) failed to
install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error
exit status 1
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Machine is a relatively old Thinkpad T41 (single Pentium M 765
processor), which is not PAE-capable. This error occurs with kernel
packages greater than 4.4.0.79.85 (linux-generic) and 4.8.54.25
(linux-generic-hwe-16.04)
Is there an option similar to ForcePAE, as with the 16.04 install
package?
