Public bug reported:

At boot I consistently get the error message:

"INFO: task systemd-udevd:179 blocked for more than 120 seconds."

This is under 16.04 on a Dell Optiplex 9020. See the attached image for
a full call trace when booting in Recovery Mode.

I want the system to boot to the GUI, but it instead stalls at repeating
this error message. Eventually it dumps onto the command line as a read-
only system.

cat /proc/version_signature is Ubuntu 4.8.0-42.45~16.04.1 generic 4.8.17
