Title: package linux-headers-4.8.0-42 4.8.0-42.45 failed to install/upgrade: unable to open '/usr/src/linux-headers-4.8.0-42/arch/blackfin/mach- bf548/include/mach/defBF547.h.dpkg-new': Operation not permitted Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: This error occurred at the final stages of installing updates. I had run sudo apt-get update followed by sudo apt-get dist-upgrade This seems to happen in one form or another periodically. The fix is to run sudo apt-get -f install until it doesn't fail. Sometimes once, in this case 5 or 6 times. Eventually, the install finished without errors, and then I restart, and everything tends to be ok. It seems that running it until it fixes the broken dependencies is just a normal part of updating? I've checked my drives for any signs of issues, and the smart utilities show no problems. If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know what it is, and I'll try and fix it.
