Title:
  Kernel update denies connect w/netgear900

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Trusty 14.04.3LTS recent kernel update partially denies connection
  with NetGear900 to Novatel Mifi

  linux-firmware (1.127.18) to 1.127.19
  link's-generic (3.13.0.71.77) to 3.13.0.73.79
  linux-headers-generic (3.13.0.71.77) to 3.13.0.73.79
  linux-image-generic (3.13.0.71.77) to 3.13.0.73.79
  linux-libc-dev (3.13.0-71.114) to 3.13.0-73.116
  linux-tools-common (3.13.0-71.114) to 3.13.0-73.116

  Installed the following packages:
  linux-headers-3.13.0-73 (3.13.0-73.116)
  linux-headers-3.13.0-73-generic (3.13.0-73.116)
  linux-image-3.13.0-73-generic (3.13.0-73.116)
  linux-image-extra-3.13.0-73-generic (3.13.0-73.116)

Caused some form of loop or failure to complete which did not recognize or
fully complete connection.
Temporary fix was to drop back to Linux kernel 3.13.0.71.77 under advanced
in Grub

Same issue for both Ubuntu Trusty 14.04.3LTS and Linux Mint17.

Expectation was for the connect to complete
