Running 4.4.0-64 in 16.04. This is definitely a flaky wireless driver. If I turn it off, and back on I cannot browse any ssids. If I suspend and resume, I cannot browse any ssids. I have recently added the options to the /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8821ae.conf file "options rtl8821ae ips=0 fwlps=0" It is improved, but can sometimes resume and not see any ssids. I am using 5ghz.
