I'm very sorry, I just found out that the Ubuntu Gnome 17.04 Beta 1 actually uses kernel 4.9 , but it's not really my mistake as all over the internet they say it uses 4.10 I booted up Ubuntu 17.04 daily builds and it works out of the box, even with my screen that is connected through an AC receiver / HDMI. I am so glad :)

Xorg repeatedly tries and fails to start. I have to add kernel option 'nomodeset' to get a desktop.
