Bug description:
I have a Dell Studio 1569 and I am running Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. When I
attempt to shutdown my laptop, everything seems to go fine until "Will
now Halt." (in the case of shutting down) or "Will now restart." (in
the case of restarting). The system just hangs at this point and does
not power off. If you wait approximately 22s, the kernel starts
complaining about a soft lockup. I have tried shutting down from the
menu, terminal, as root, etc and even changing runlevels to initiate a
shutdown.
