I've recently installed Oneiric Ocelot. The touchpad is recognised as an Elantech PS/2 mouse however it does not seem to fully integrate with synaptics - there is no touchpad setting in the mouse config and synclient reports no synaptics driver is loaded. Following advice from bug #681904, I installed Seth's debug (v0.3) package and here is the output of dmesg afterwards: ... According to this thread (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=129287) there is a patch in 3.2 but I tried installing that from the mainline ppa and it froze my touchpad altogether!
