Title:
Ubuntu fails to progress to live session when a btrfs partition is
present on the local hard drive

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce the bug:
To reproduce this issue, boot a Ubuntu Live USB (created with dd or Rufus on
Windows) on a PC containing a hard drive with at least one partition formatted
with btrfs filesystem. At this date, it's reproducible both with Ubuntu 16.04.1
and the Ubuntu 16.10 daily image (kernel 4.4.0-33-generic). This seems to be a
Ubuntu specific issue so far.

  Acer Aspire E15 - AMD A8-7100 + Radeon R7 M265 - 1TB HDD - 8GB RAM
