The very fact that Ubuntu recognizes the make and model of the camera is even more infuriating! Why the heck won't it mount it so I can download and manipulate my photos with programs like Digikam, Shotwell, etcetera? Gimp can open the files...but of course GIMP is not a photo-management program. Please resolve and/or tell me which program will communicate with this excellent little digital camera! I have combed the web for a solution and I am at wits end. Full Error message: "Unable to mount Kodak EasyShare Z1285 Zoom Digital Camera Error initializing camera:-53: Could not claim the USB device" Thank you for addressing this issue.
