I made tow scripts that can lower and higher the brightness but they depends on acpi_video0 directory. I'm learning to program in c end linux kernel programing to get that hp_wmi driver to read the key code or whatever rigt, and there is a problem with the blue-light wifi button. the get the wifi up going after that is a pain in the as. most reboot the computer and run:
