That workaround really works, I also have tested, and can confirm for the Inspiron 15R 5537.
However this completely disables the Radeon video card and the vgaswitcheroo... "/sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch: File or directory not found." So you can not use the dgpu for 3D applications and/or games. I now have two options: 1. Use the Mainline Kernels and be able to use the radeon video card or, 2. Use the Ubuntu Kernels, disable it completely and use only the Intel video card. For now, I will keep the first one. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1589139 Title: [HP Pavilion dv6-6b52sl Entertainment Notebook PC] No suspend on Ubuntu 16.04 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When i try to suspend the system the screen turns off, the PC becomes really hot(the fan won't stop working) and i'm not able to do anything after this.
