But at some point (probably after installing updates) it is no longer detecting (when scanning) any devices. I have found a similar bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1552925, but the package linked there did not work (probably due to me using ath9k, not ath3k module) - the bluetooth card was not detected, and in dmesg were messages about failing to load firmware. $ lsusb Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub Bus 001 Device 003: ID 13d3:3472 IMC Networks Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04f2:b52b Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub $ uname -a Linux AsusX 4.2.0-35-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Tue Mar 15 22:15:45 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ inxi -N Network: Card-1: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller driver: r8169 Card-2: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 / AR9565 Wireless Network Adapter driver: ath9k $ usb-devices | awk '/3472/' RS= T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=07 Cnt=02 Dev#= 3 Spd=12 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=e0(wlcon) Sub=01 Prot=01 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=13d3 ProdID=3472 Rev=00.01 C: #Ifs= 2 Cfg#= 1 Atr=e0 MxPwr=100mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 3 Cls=e0(wlcon) Sub=01 Prot=01 Driver=btusb I: If#= 1 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=e0(wlcon) Sub=01 Prot=01 Driver=btusb ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 Package: linux-image-4.2.0-35-generic 4.2.0-35.40 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.2.0-35.40-generic 4.2.8-ckt5 Uname: Linux 4.2.0-35-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.19.1-0ubuntu5 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: razumov 1127 F.... pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Sun Apr 10 21:14:08 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-04-09 (1 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 15.10 "Wily Werewolf" - Release amd64 (20151021) Lsusb: Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub Bus 001 Device 003: ID 13d3:3472 IMC Networks Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04f2:b52b Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub MachineType: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
