I started a "Reverse" kernel bisect between v4.5 final and v4.6-rc1. The kernel bisect will require testing of about 10-12 test kernels.
I built the first test kernel, up to the following commit: The test kernel can be downloaded from: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1573062 Can you test that kernel and report back if it has the bug or not? I will build the next test kernel based on your test results. In parallel to the bisect, I'll review the git logs to see if the fix sticks out. There are 166 powerpc commits between these two versions, so a bisect may be the only way to identify the exact commit.
