Whether to run the bt mini-receiver in HID mode or HCI mode should be configurable by the user and should survive upgrade. Before upgrading from 9.10, I had disabled HCI mode (by editing 70-hid2hci.rules) because I have a multi-boot computer (the bluetooth system design fails to account for multi-boot). After upgrading to 10.04, I no longer had keyboard access because pairing requires a keyboard! A couple of suggestions for addressing this: 1. Installer preserves existing 70-hid2hci.rules 2. Installer asks user which mode if 70-hid2hci.rules is edited 3. Add another means of preventing hid2hci from running (ala env var or whatever) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: udev 151-12 [modified: lib/udev/rules.d/70-hid2hci.rules] ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-24.39-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-24-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Aug 17 12:23:44 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) MachineType: Dell Inc.
