It sometimes can detect networks, but cannot connect to WPA protected WIFI. "dmesg | grep ath" shows several thousand of lines "failed to start hw scan: -108". Problem can be fixed by following the steps outlined here: http://www.killernetworking.com/support/knowledge-base/17-linux/20-killer-wireless-ac-in-linux-ubuntu-debian Please include correct board.bin and firmware-?.bin files to Ubuntu Mate 16.04 distro. In my case wifi worked after I deleted board.bin and firmware-4.bin both /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw2.1/ and /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/ then copied firmware-5.bin_SW_RM.1.1.1-00157-QCARMSWPZ-1 as firmware-4.bin and firmware-4.bin. Finally, I saved resulting board.bin, firmware-4.bin and firmware-5.bin to both ..../2.1/ and ..../3.0/ folders To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1568635/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
