Evan Huus, as per http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/product/inspiron-530 an update is available for your BIOS (1.0.18). If you update to this, does it change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, not all end results are noted in a BIOS update, as vendors typically only focus on Windows. Hence, I wouldn't use the BIOS release notes as your sole data point. Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bot-stop-nagging ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1212041 Title: suspend/resume failure, Dell Inspiron 530 Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Suspend appeard to work fine.
