I can ssh in (so the system is not frozen) and Fn+keys to change screen brightness etc always work. I collected X and kernel logs when it happens (by logging in remotely via SSH) but I'm not able to understand what is going on. This issue is reported in multiple forums, and affects Asus 252b as well (same laptop model for US market).
