Public bug reported: I run Ubuntu 14.04 since it was released with no problems. Since I installed kernel 3.13.0-74 with system updates my system hangs up every one or two days. I can still switch between consoles (including graphical console #7) but all running applications hang up, I cannot start any commands in a terminal and cannot log in in colsole or via ssh.
This also happens with kernel 3.13.0-76, which was installed on Jan. 20. When I switch back to kernel 3.13.0-71 everything runs stable. For several weeks. I never had and have a problem with this kernel version. ** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-meta in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1537073 Title: System freeze since kernel 3.13.0-74-generic Status in linux-meta package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I run Ubuntu 14.04 since it was released with no problems.
