You have been subscribed to a public bug: perf kvm stat record/report is not supported on powerpc currently. With perf kvm stat record/report analysis of kvm exit events and hypervisor calls can be done. The statistics for these events can be shown individually for each running VM in the host and can be very useful in giving an idea of the performance of a VM under a certain workload.
This can show how many number of KVM exits have happened during a certain period of time. Along with the total number of exits, all the exits are grouped according to their specific exit reasons. Also, frequency for individual exit reasons is shown. Same can be done with hypervisor calls too. Updating this with two more features : - perf intr regs sampling support.
