If it's not reproducible, please mark this as Invalid. Thank you for your understanding. ** Changed in: linux-lts-vivid (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-lts-vivid in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1517294 Title: [Dell Inspiron 5758] Unable to finish 30 cycle suspend stress test with fwts on Intel GPU Status in linux-lts-vivid package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: CID: 201501-16351 Dell Inspiron 5758 When running with the integrated GPU (power-saving profile) on this I+N hybrid system. It will freeze on resume when testing with 30 cycles suspend test. But it works with the performance profile (NVIDIA GPU). Command: fwts -q --stdout-summary -r /home/ubuntu/.cache/plainbox/sessions /pbox-u2qsvl1w.session/CHECKBOX_DATA/suspend_30_cycles --s3-device-check --s3-device-check-delay 45 --s3-sleep-delay 30 s3 Steps: 1. Install 14.04.3 + update (3.19.0-33) + nvidia proprietary driver (346.96) 2. Install fwts 3. Install plainbox and canonical-certification-client from ppa:checkbox-dev 4. Run plainbox run -i '2013.com.canonical.certification::power-management/suspend_30_cycles' (or you can run it with the fwts command mentioned above 30 times for the test) Expected result: * Everything works after s3 stress test. Actual result: * System stuck when resume from s3. I can't ssh into it, and CapsLock LED is not responding, but the magic key works (Ctrl + Alt + PrtScn + b) I tried to suspend it from the system menu, and wake it up with the power button to clarify this is not an issue to fwts, however, I can't successfully wake it up every time when running with the integrated GPU. fwts version 15.09.00-0ubuntu1~t ubuntu@201501-16351:~$ lspci -nnk | grep '\[03' -A2 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Broadwell-U Integrated Graphics [8086:1616] (rev 09) Subsystem: Dell Device [1028:06ae] Kernel driver in use: i915_bpo -- 08:00.0 3D controller [0302]: NVIDIA Corporation GK208M [GeForce 920M] [10de:1299] (rev ff) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: linux-image-3.19.0-33-generic 3.19.0-33.38~14.04.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-33.38~14.04.1-generic 3.19.8-ckt7 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-33-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.18 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Tue Nov 17 06:04:54 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-11-10 (7 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Beta amd64 (20150805) SourcePackage: linux-lts-vivid UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lts-vivid/+bug/1517294/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
