Public bug reported: Entering the correct password does not login (entering bad password does give a bad password error, this is distinct), trying to start a guest session also fails. Rebooting and choosing the previous 3.19.0-41 kernel works fine. This bug report is sent after booting from *-41.
I have the proprietary Nvidia drivers installed, the recommended version 352.63 from the additional drivers tab. The nouveau drivers do not work with my Nvidia 970 system, they cause me to sometimes get a black screen instead of booting into the OS, also with the install disk, and even with other linux distros. The proprietary drivers fix that issue for me, regardless of distro. I'll keep the "buggy" kernel version around for now in case I can help debug this issue.
