This malfunction correlates with the kernel-version I'm using. Until kernel 3.13.0-65 everything was OK. 3.13.0-66 didn't work, the scanner was not found. 3.13.0-67 did work again 3.13.0-68 did still work 3.13.0-70 didn't work anymore, the scanner could not be found 3.13.0-71 same as above Reinstallation of driver package didn't change anything.
