Public bug reported: On Ubuntu users for the ppc64el architecture, I always see they installing powerpc-utils when they want to install powerpc-ibm-utils.
I want to start a discussion here on how to handle it. I am wondering if it still make sense to have both package.. Other than that, I would like to have the powerpc-ibm-utils tool added in the default installation ISO for ppc64el. How should we proceed with it? ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Taco Screen team (taco-screen-team) Status: Incomplete ** Tags: ppc64el ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Taco Screen team (taco-screen-team) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523627 Title: Powerpc-utils and powerpc-ibm-utils is confusing Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: On Ubuntu users for the ppc64el architecture, I always see they installing powerpc-utils when they want to install powerpc-ibm-utils.
