Based on the description to upstream kernel commit ed65918735a50e1002d856749d3f1f5072f92cfa, "this device [3165] is supported starting from -13.ucode." Based on this statement I'm not comfortable using older firmware versions with this hardware out of the box - it may work for some, but it may also cause problems. You're welcome to do this manually if you like, or else upgrade to 15.10 which supports this hardware out of the box.
