I expect the sound card to be detected without additional modification of
boot options.
The sound card is not detected unless the following line in /etc/default/grub
is adjusted to look so
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi='!Windows 2013'
acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'"
and the system is rebooted twice after booting to windows.
