-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1510165 Title: heartbeat module is not loaded Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: SRU justification: Problem: If the heartbeat function is assigned to a led via a device tree, the led instead of beating is turned off, and in case of a headless system, the board seems to be dead. Fix: Apply the attached patch and recompile How to reproduce: Assign the heartbeat trigger to a user configurable led and check if it beats: echo heartbeat > /sys/class/leds/$LED/trigger --- The beaglebone black has a led that blinks like a heartbeat. But it is not working with the snappy image because the ledtrig-heartbeat is not loaded. When I do: sudo modprobe ledtrig-heartbeat it starts to blink. Please make the ledtrig-heartbeat a build-in option so when we install snappy in the bbb it blinks. --- ApportVersion: 2.19.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC1: elopio 7601 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: elopio 7601 F...m pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: elopio 7601 F.... pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-09-07 (49 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.10 "Wily Werewolf" - Alpha amd64 (20150907) MachineType: System76, Inc.
