At the moment I am using the kernel 3.13.0-37_3.13.0-37.64+iwlltr0001 from: http://people.canonical.com/~sforshee/iwl-ltr/trusty/ and the firmware iwlwifi-3160-9-ucode. I am usually observing the wireless behaviour through wavemon and the number of invalid misc increases continuously when I am surfing on the internet. Occasionally the pages stop loading and the the number of mac retries increases. After around of 1Gb downloaded (or less) I always losing the connection, the network-manager has to be restarted but the wireless connection cannot be recovered until I reboot. Usually the bitrate is around 1-2Mbit/s. I have tried already the kernel 3.16.3 but the problem is even worse. --- ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC1: andrea 1867 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC1D0p: andrea 1867 F...m pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: andrea 1867 F.... pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=8151f3b0-8d5c-4917-9bc3-cf3b91ee2c44 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-10-23 (2 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140417) MachineType: TOSHIBA SATELLITE L50-B Package: linux (not installed) ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-37-generic root=UUID=21c33eb9-d819-4ce1-8d9e-719e25c3a4de ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-37.64+iwlltr0001-generic 3.13.11.7 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-3.13.0-37-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-3.13.0-37-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.127.8 Tags: trusty Uname: Linux 3.13.0-37-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True dmi.bios.date: 05/05/2014 dmi.bios.vendor: INSYDE Corp. dmi.bios.version: 1.40 dmi.board.asset.tag: Type2 - Board Asset Tag dmi.board.name: Type2 - Board Product Name1 dmi.board.vendor: Type2 - Board Vendor Name1 dmi.board.version: Type2 - Board Version dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: OEM Chassis ManuFacturer dmi.chassis.version: OEM Chassis Version dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnINSYDECorp.:bvr1.40:bd05/05/2014:svnTOSHIBA:pnSATELLITEL50-B:pvrPSKTAE-0C001CIT:rvnType2-BoardVendorName1:rnType2-BoardProductName1:rvrType2-BoardVersion:cvnOEMChassisManuFacturer:ct10:cvrOEMChassisVersion: dmi.product.name: SATELLITE L50-B dmi.product.version: PSKTAE-0C001CIT dmi.sys.vendor: TOSHIBA To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1385782/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
