Well it hangs, mousepointer inclusive and tty's via ALT+F? are no longer accessable Computer is (sometimes) still accessable remotely via ssh but to not much use. I suspect it is pulse-audio related, the process shows defunct status after crash. computer behaves extremely buggy until hard reboot or "halt --reboot", "init 6" and "reboot" don't seem to work. # cat /proc/version_signature Ubuntu 3.19.0-31.35-generic 3.19.8-ckt7 lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 15.04 Release: 15.04 3) switch audio-track 4) kernel-crash (linux-image-3.19.0-31-generic.188915.crash) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: linux-image-3.19.0-31-generic 3.19.0-31.35 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-31.35-generic 3.19.8-ckt7 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-31-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1.5 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: jringoot 1721 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: jringoot 1721 F.... pulseaudio Date: Fri Oct 9 01:20:25 2015 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=7f097a7b-7fce-41a7-b16f-fa23bddb5aa9 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-06-05 (125 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422) IwConfig: eth0 no wireless extensions. eth1 no wireless extensions. lo no wireless extensions.
