I have update the Amilo config to 15.04. The bug is still there. Settting i915.modeset=0 does not bring improvement anymore : instead of 640x480 max resolution stuck at top left of the screen you now get the 640x480 max reslution in the middle of the screen.
Any fix on this is highly welcomed to be able to run Ubuntu on those machine. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/874694 Title: [i845] Resolution cannot be set higher than 640x480 and doesn't fit screen Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: In Lubuntu 11.10 I cannot set the resolution higher than 640x480.
