This is fixed upstream in linus' tree (GIT-SHA 1087f4f4af302e6e2fa40dd741f306444d90bece and f887cce8de019bb32917789379af89ae4c0294ee) I've rebuilt a stock hardy kernel (-19.36) with those two commits cherry-picked and multicast works for me again.
