The only way I could reproduce is to boot up Ubuntu then open up an application for example Software Updater. After a couple seconds, about like 10, the computer freezes, and a kernel panic happens. I can reproduce both in TTY and on the unity desktop. The issue report was made using the 3.16.0-38 kernel, which may have changed some values in the Apport debug information.
