Public bug reported: My SD card reader stopped working a few releases back. This never bothered me as I rarely used it, but a need has arisen for me to be using it a lot in the future which leaves me stuck with it not working.
Issue When I plug a SD card into the reader it does not get mounted and is therefore not displayed in the file manager. Expected behavior It is expected that the card be detected and mounted so that it can be displayed and used via the file manager. Extra Information - In the attached file, an SD card was plugged in at dmesg time 7344. - The lsusb for the device is 'Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0bda:0159 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTS5159 Card Reader Controller' - Multiple cards were tested, and they work on another Ubuntu laptop with a card reader. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "File created by `ubuntu-bug linux`" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1457395/+attachment/4401574/+files/apport.linux-image-3.13.0-53-generic.xgvgxp_u.apport -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1457395 Title: Realtek RTS5159 Card Reader not working Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: My SD card reader stopped working a few releases back.
