Title:
Swichable Graphics not working - Intel Hd 4400-Radeon 8850M- DELL -
  Latitude 3540

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The point is, the radeon venus pro hd 8850m cannot be turned on on linux, you
can try official or open source drivers.
I think the problem is by the dynamic switchable mode thats make a vga switch
on windows without get a black screen, the discrete gpu are connected by
hardware to the internal intel graphics card that cannot be turned off or you
will have no image xD. Also on windows the intel drivers+amd must be instaled
to turn amd graphics on, but on linux thats impossible.

Already tryed all drivers from amd, on ubuntu 14.04 and 14.10, it will
install ok and when ubuntu restart it will be on low graphics mode and
only back to work if i purge then.

"You are sure the both vgas are working on linux? If you can i will give my
Latitude 3540 to you! hahaha
By the f***** Dynamic Mode switchable graphics and the impossibility to turn
the intel adapter off by bios settings, Its impossible to turn on the Venus Pro
Radeon - HD 8850m on ubuntu!
Already tried with versions 14.04 amd 14.10 too."
