The last known working kernel I have is 3.8.0-26-generic. Switching to a text mode boot I discovered that CPU #1, #2 and #3 report that they are softlocked by the "migration" process (I believe that's internal to the kernel) and that on CPU #0 the RCU stall detector has detected a stall. The machine in question is a Thinkpad E525 with an AMD A8-3500m APU. I've tried and failed to extract more information from the kernel, but setting softlock_panic just ends up with a continuous repeating stream of text scrolling up the screen faster than can be read. As I can't boot into that kernel I can't give you the output suggested on the bug submission form, but I've attached the lspci output from the 3.8 kernel version in case that is helpful.
