I can confirm that the bug exists (same laptop model as Ricardo). I've tried both the stock kernel of Ubuntu 14.04.1 (updated), and 3.19 rc5 from kernel.ubuntu.com. I've also tried 14.10 with no-go.
@ricardolotr do you just have to downgrade 14.04 to 3.13.0-44-generic and it just works, or did you have to do anything more? Can you specify any additional information that you think might be relevant. Did it start working after, maybe, after you installed a new CUDA driver, or something else. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1410193 Title: Touchpad undetected in Gigabyte P35W laptop Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The touchpad is just not in the list of devices and doesn't respond at all.
