Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: DVD drive connected using JAE50 PATA-SATA adapter doesn't work. Motherboard - Zotac 610i (nvidia nForce 610i), DVD drive - HP TS-L16C (I tried also another drives - they doesn't work too). Under windows this drive works fine. PATA-SATA adapter is based on Satalink SPiF223A chip. I tried to boot using acpi=off, noapic, pci=nomsi options but no success. Also I tried to boot ubuntu dvd but failed during kernel startup. Also I tried kernel from Ubuntu 9.04 (2.6.28) but it failed to attach DVD too.
