Thanks again Larry installing the new driver got better on one sense, but worse on another.
Now testing with iperf i do not see any other speed drop, the connection is quite stable. In modinfo i also see that the new driver is still using the old firmware rtlwifi/rtl8192eefw.bin, while in the code i see it should load rtlwifi/rtl8192eefw_new.bin. Is it just a broken message printed, or is it really not loading the new firmware? I hope my messages help you in getting a stable version of the driver.
