Jeff Marcom, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, as per http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/Product/vostro-3350 an update is available for your BIOS (A09). If you update to this, does it change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags removed: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-v3.5-rc1-quantal ** Tags added: bios-outdated-a09 kernel-bug-exists-upstream-v3.5-rc1 needs-upstream-testing ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007551 Title: [Dell Vostro 3350] Fails to resume during 30 cycle hibernation Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Kernel versions tested: 3.2.0.23 and 3.2.0.24 System will attempt to hibernate and resume normally.
